A 98 unit new build extra care facility in Derby for Sanctuary Group. BES have been employed to produce detailed Performance Specifications, Room Data Sheets and indicative layout drawings for all M&E services including low voltage distribution, general, emergency and external lighting, small power, Integrated Reception System, warden call, door entry and CCTV, heating and domestic hot water, ventilation systems and automatic controls. BES also carried out a thermal modelling of the action spaces to ensure spaces would not overheat together with production of preliminary SAP and SBEM calculations to ensure the Client’s requirement of BREEAM Very Good rating is achieved. The result is that a comprehensive photovoltaic array generating 50kW of electricity has been proposed.
